What’s it all about?

Since 2001 Drumragh Sarsfields have been involved in a major fundraising and development plan for the site at Clanabogan. An enormous amount of work was required to raise funding for the project to make a return to Clanabogan a reality. With phase 2 of the developments at Clanabogan almost complete, this is a very exciting time for Drumragh members both young and old. It is not however, a time to sit back and relax at a job well done. There is a lot of hard work still to be done!

For much of the Club’s past, Drumragh haven’t had a lot of expenditure for maintenance of grounds and clubrooms in comparison to the amount it is expected to maintain our new facilities at Clanabogan. It is estimated that it will cost around £70,000 per annum to run the Club in the near future. That’s £1346 a week.

Currently, our Club Lotto and various other fundraisers are our only source of regular income. The Club Committee can see that the current income will not be enough to sustain the Club a few years down the line, and have developed a plan to raise the finance needed. This plan is Club Drumragh.

What is Club Drumragh?

Club Drumragh is about raising the money to help make things happen. It's investing now to secure our future. It allows those who have an interest in the well-being of Gaelic Games and Culture in this parish to contribute to it financially. We’re asking members to commit to giving £10 per month to Club Drumragh via direct debit. A total of £120 a year per member will help make great things happen for Drumragh Sarsfields G.A.C.

Money raised by Club Drumragh will be used to assist the Club Committee to;

  •  Continue developing the facilities at Clanabogan
  • Invest in the continuing development of the Club’s Youth development and coaching programmes
  • Continue promoting Irish Culture, Music and Language in our Parish

£2.50 a week is very little to put into the GAA when you think of all that you take out of it.

What do I get in return?

Each member of Club Drumragh gets entered into a monthly draw for £500. There will also be a number of other monthly prizes for members, such as match tickets, weekend breaks, signed jerseys etc

More importantly, you get the opportunity to buy into the ownership and development of our Club and contribute to something that is important to you and this community.
